Mumbai: A large drain cover on Shahaji Raje Bhosale Marg in Vile Parle East has come loose, causing concern for residents and commuters. Despite repeated complaints to the municipal authorities, no action has been taken to repair the drain.
*Temporary Measures*
To alert drivers, a plastic barricade has been placed at the site. However, this has reduced the already congested road, leading to increased traffic jams and air and noise pollution in the area.
*Municipal Neglect*
Residents are frustrated with the municipal corporation’s neglect and have appealed to senior officials to install a new drain cover as soon as possible.
